USPSA
USPSA is a fast-paced, action-packed sport based on accuracy, power and speed
(Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas – DVC). Shooters compete in one of eight divisions using either a pistol, revolver or pistol caliber carbine (PCC).
Matches will be held on the third Sunday of each month from March through October, weather permitting. Each match will have 5 to 6 courses of fire, one of which may be a classifier.
Beginners are welcome, but you must be able to safely draw a handgun, perform reloads and navigate our courses of fire. If you have never shot an action shooting match (USPSA, IDPA, 3-gun, etc.) before you will be required to attend a pre-match safety briefing prior to your first match. Handgun shooters will need a holster that completely covers the trigger/trigger guard. You will also need enough magazines to complete up to a 32-round course of fire (not including make-up shots). The number of magazines needed will depend on your division. PCC shooters are required to use a chamber flag. USPSA has an extensive set of safety rules; we highly recommend reviewing them before your first match. The competition rules can be found on the USPSA website:https://uspsa.org. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at the email below.
Registration for each match will be via Practiscore at https://practiscore.com/clubs/york_uspsaand will open a week before the match. Scores will be posted to Practiscore. We will also post registration information and scores to the blog.
