Starting in 1970, each year, York Chapter honors Philip W. Stinger by awarding Memorial Scholarships. The original committee set forth the rules that are still followed today: the student will be scored on Financial Need, Scholastic Ability, Ecology/Environmental Factor, Attitude, Composure, Sincerity of Purpose and use of Visual Aids or Awards. The scholarship applicant that may apply is for only residents of York county studying in fields related to the environmental sciences.
Applications will be accepted if postmarked before September 30th of each year.
